Khandroid Khmer Unicode Keyboard v2.0

Requirement:

• Your phone must be rooted and able to Render Khmer Unicode correctly
• Enable Khmer in your system Locale (Instruction below)

Instruction:

First use Custom Locale (បញ្ចូលភាសាខ្មែរ) to have Khmer in your locale first for this to work great on your smartphone.

To have both Khmer and English in this keyboard. Go to setting by long press on microphone key, then choose Input Language and Tick your preferred language.

Usage Tips:

• Long press on Space to switch between languages KH > ENG etc.
  
• If you don't want to press shift just long click on a key and a popup for it will appear. Example: if you want to type ណ just long click on ន and it will type ណ for you automatically, saving you time on pressing shift key.

I saw lots of Khmer keyboard available and most of them has very small keys, that is difficult to type. As a result, I decide to mod one for myself, and share with all of you guys who want to type in Khmer. This keyboard has big enough keys for easy typing, and support skins from Better Keyboard. How to Translate Android Apps into Your Own Language

Android App Khmer Translation Guide 1.0

Desclaimer:

I'm writing this to support Khmer Language, as more people know how to translate apk into their language. We will have more and more app in our language faster. And I also have time to do some other important stuffs too :D hehehe

 Instruction:

• Download AndroidSuite - http://slethen.net/launch/Downloads.html

1. Extract it to your prefered location and launch AndroidSuite v115.exe
2. Click "Open APK Dir" button, in that folder copy apk that you want to translate into it.
3. Back to AndroidSuite click "Decode Seleted" button wait until it is finished.
4. Click "Open Decoded Dir" in there you will see folder with your apk name.
5. Browse into it {your apk folder name}\res\values\ and find string.xml

• Download Notepad++ http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.1.5.html

1. Install Notepad++ then right click on string.xml then choose "Edit with "Notepad++"
2. In Notepad++ the text that is highlighted with black color, the text you need to translate.
3. Just translate all the black text into your language. Take whole day sometimes :D

• After finished all strings, go to AndroidSuite

1. And select the apk name in "---Select what to encode:" panel.
2. Then click "Encode selected" wait until it is finished.
3. Then click "Apk Signer" buttons to sign it.

• Finally, click "Open Encoded Dir" there you will see your finished apk with your translated string :D Cheer.

t my translated apps here once it's done. You can also request your favorite Android apps to be translated into Khmer too, just inbox to me. I will try to translate it if it's just a small app but if it's a big one, I will give you string.xml and text editor so you can translate it and hand the translated string.xml to me, then I'll compile it to ready-to-install apk. I will also create a new blog soon to post all my translated apps for your conveniences :D
